They are part of my sit down and relax music. . . I am one of the weird people that finds black metal relaxing. That's why I was surprised you thought they were too extreme.
You should check out Blut Aus Nord, they are a pretty rad French band. I got caught saying that there are no good french bands aside from Die Form. . . That got thrown in my face. . . Blut Aus Nord will fuck with your ears with massive amounts of dissonance. Not as extreme as Marduk but just as brutal. Blut Aus Nord is good sleepy time music.

I am not usually one for black metal, I am more on the death metal side of things. Blut isn't bad, just isn't my style, although I will have to check out more to make a final judgement. BUT I do have to make a recommendation on one of my favorite black metal bands, it is just so energized!
Don't mind the slight racism in the comments, just enjoy the music!

It is kinda sad but there is a whole lot of racism in black metal. I do enjoy me some death metal, but I sway more towards the sound of black metal. Death has a permanent spot in my top 5 bands of all time list.
This shit you posted is pretty sweet, it seems like they are trying to take part in the whole faster and more technical than everyone else war that is ever so present in extreme metal. I do enjoy that the bass isn't mixed out. The bass is the reason why I love Bathory's album Requiem.

It has gotten to a point where bands not associated with racism, have racism associated with them. I find it kind of annoying, but what are you going to do. I am fine with listening to racist music, just cause sometimes it is catchy. . . and I like to laugh at them.

It is like I like Varg Vikernes music but I think him and his silly ideals are extremely idiotic. There was a saying, and I can't remember where I read it, it may have been in Lords Of Chaos, but it was said that Varg believed that the Nazis were alive and well building their UFOs under the polar ice cap of Antarctica. . .
